1. Who we are
FamePadi is an online platform that provides digital voting, contest management, event ticketing, application forms, fundraising, organizer tools, audience engagement and related services. References to “FamePadi”, “we”, “our” or “us” in this policy refer to the FamePadi platform and the operators responsible for providing these services.
This policy applies to visitors, voters, contestants, event attendees, applicants, donors, organizers, ambassadors and other users of FamePadi.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use FamePadi, we may collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of the platform, and limited technical information required to operate and secure the service.
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, password hash, profile information and account role.
- Organizer information: organization or brand name, address, country, state, CAC information, payout bank details and other information submitted for organizer services.
- KYC information: verification documents and, where required for payment or virtual-account services, identity information such as BVN or NIN details submitted with your consent.
- Voting and transaction information: contests, votes, payments, receipts, transaction references and related records.
- Event and application information: event registrations, ticket purchases, form responses and files voluntarily submitted through application forms.
- Fundraising information: fundraiser activity, contribution information and transaction records.
- Technical and security information: IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, authentication events and security logs used to prevent fraud and protect accounts.
3. Google Sign-In and Google user data
FamePadi allows users to register for and sign in to their FamePadi account using Google Sign-In. When you choose this option, Google may provide FamePadi with basic account information necessary to authenticate you and identify your account.
Google information FamePadi may receive
- Your name.
- Your email address.
- Your Google account identifier.
- Confirmation that your Google email address has been verified.
- Basic profile information made available through Google's authentication service.
How FamePadi uses Google user data
We use information received through Google Sign-In only to:
- Authenticate you securely.
- Create a new FamePadi account when you choose Google account creation.
- Match you to an existing FamePadi account with the same verified email address.
- Prevent duplicate accounts and reduce fraudulent or unauthorized access.
- Maintain your authenticated session and provide access to FamePadi services.
Google services we do not access
FamePadi does not use Google Sign-In to access your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, photos, documents or other unrelated Google services. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Sharing and sale of Google user data
FamePadi does not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising profiles or unrelated marketing. Limited information may be processed by infrastructure, hosting, email, security or other service providers only where necessary to operate FamePadi, protect the platform, comply with law or provide services you request.
Google API Services User Data Policy
FamePadi's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
Disconnecting Google
You may revoke FamePadi's Google access at any time from your Google Account permissions. Revoking Google access stops future Google authentication but may not automatically delete your FamePadi account or records that we are legally or operationally required to retain. You may separately request account or personal-data deletion as described below.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information only for legitimate platform, security, contractual and legal purposes, including to:
- Create, authenticate and maintain accounts.
- Operate voting, event, fundraising, application and organizer services.
- Process and reconcile payments and transactions.
- Verify organizers and meet KYC, fraud-prevention or payment-provider requirements.
- Provide customer support and service communications.
- Detect abuse, fraud, duplicate transactions, unauthorized access and security incidents.
- Maintain records required for accounting, dispute resolution, audit and legal compliance.
- Improve reliability, performance and usability of FamePadi.
5. Payments, payout details and KYC data
FamePadi may use third-party payment providers to process payments, collections, transfers, virtual accounts and organizer payouts. Payment providers may receive transaction and identity information necessary to process a transaction, prevent fraud or comply with financial regulations.
Where FamePadi collects sensitive identity details such as BVN or NIN for virtual-account or payment-provider verification, those details are collected only when required, processed for the stated verification purpose, protected using appropriate application security controls, and are not displayed publicly.
Withdrawal PINs are used only to secure withdrawal requests. A withdrawal PIN should be stored as a one-way security hash and is not intended to be displayed back to the user after it is created.
7. How long we retain information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide FamePadi services, protect users, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain transaction records and comply with legal, accounting or regulatory obligations.
Account information may be retained while an account is active. Certain transaction, payment, voting, KYC, audit and security records may need to be retained for a longer period where required for financial reconciliation, legal compliance, fraud prevention or dispute resolution.
When information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize or securely archive it in accordance with applicable requirements.
8. How we protect information
FamePadi uses administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account and transaction information. These may include encrypted connections, password hashing, secure session controls, CSRF protection, authentication throttling, withdrawal verification, email verification codes, access controls, audit logging and restricted handling of sensitive information.
No online system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their passwords, withdrawal PINs, email accounts and devices and should notify FamePadi promptly if they suspect unauthorized access.
9. Your privacy rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of or restriction of certain personal information associated with your FamePadi account.
You may also update many profile details directly from your account. Where information cannot be changed directly because it forms part of a transaction, compliance or security record, you may contact FamePadi support.
10. Account and data deletion requests
You may request deletion of your FamePadi account and eligible personal information by contacting FamePadi through the support channels available on the platform. Your request should be sent from the email address associated with your account so that we can verify ownership.
We may retain information that must be preserved for legal, regulatory, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution or security reasons. Where complete deletion is not legally or operationally possible, we may restrict or anonymize data where appropriate.
If you used Google Sign-In, you may also revoke FamePadi's Google access from your Google Account security settings. Revoking Google access and deleting a FamePadi account are separate actions.
11. Children's privacy
FamePadi is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances prohibited by applicable law. Organizers who create contests, events or forms involving minors are responsible for obtaining any consent required by law and configuring their activities appropriately.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, legal obligations, payment integrations or authentication methods change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
